Real Nappy Project
Due to changes in funding our Real Nappy project has now been incorporated into our Zero Waste Scotland programme.
We offer support and advice to new and expectant parents around the North East about the advantages of using real nappies which include environmental, financial and health benefits. We also offer free 2 week lending kits (as a postal service) to any new parents and sell preloved nappies and wraps plus accessories.
We are looking for more volunteers to help with the project. Do you have a couple of hours a month and are you passionate about real nappies? You could be the person we’re looking for. You’ll receive full training, a demonstration kit (if required) and all your expenses will be paid. You then get the opportunity to host a nappuccino (coffee mornings!!) in your area, or perhaps attend home demonstrations with the lending kit. If that doesn’t suit, you can decide what you’d like to do.
You’ll join our volunteer network and meet other like minded parents. We have regular get-togethers – who would have thought that volunteering could be so much fun! If you like the sound of this, then please contact us on the details below.
We host a monthly nappy club on the first Friday of the month 10am – 12noon here at 2 Poynernook Road. This is an opportunity to come along have a cup of tea and biscuit and chat to our volunteers and other expectant and new parents about using real nappies. No booking required.
