Welcome to Aberdeen Forward’s Creative Waste Exchange.
The Creative Waste Exchange is a project run by Aberdeen-based charity Aberdeen Forward. We sell second hand office furniture, office accessories, stationery and craft materials.
The Creative Waste Exchange was established by Aberdeen Forward in 2005. The Exchange is a reuse project accepting a wide variety of unwanted materials from companies and businesses around the North East.
These unwanted materials are sold as a good quality, low cost resource to community groups and individuals. Materials include office furniture, stationery, arts and craft resources and lots of other interesting bits and bobs. We also offer a community membership scheme, offering discounts and other benefits. Applying for community membership is easy and simple, just phone up or email for a membership form, fill it in and send it back with payment.

Discounted rates for workshops
To date 164 tonnes of valuable waste has been diverted from landfill and 450 community groups and individuals have benefitted from joining the Exchange.
Companies can get involved by taking out a corporate membership. By making a yearly donation, which helps towards the running of the Exchange, corporate members are entitled to free uplifts of certain waste, a regular Aberdeen Forward e-bulletin and help towards gaining/continuing ISO 14000 accreditation with a monthly materials diverted report. Depending on the level of donation companies can also receive access to lunchtime environmental workshops for employees, attendance at an environment/community day and named sponsorship of one premium event.

Creative Waste Exchange opening hours are:
Monday – Closed
Tuesday – 10am – 4pm
Wednesday – 10am – 4pm
Thursday 12 noon – 7:30pm (if visiting after 5pm please phone first 01224 560360)
Friday: 10am – 4pm

Reservation/Delivery policy – Reservations can be kept for up to one week. Delivery available for £24 per van-load in the Aberdeenshire area.
