If you live in one of the following locations you can sign up for the Aberdeenshire Community Composting Network and have regular garden waste collections from your door:
Pitcaple, Whiteford, Insch, Oyne, Chapel of Garioch & Durno
Oldmeldrum
Drumoak, Crathes, Hill of Banchory, Aboyne
Methlick (village only)
Benholm, Gourdon & Inverbervie
Middle Grange (only) – Peterhead.
For an annual fee of only £10 the Network provides the following benefits:
Charity run green waste collection scheme
Environmentally friendly service diverting waste from landfill.
Garden waste composted locally helping to reduce global warming
Kerbside collection every two weeks with a green waste bag supplied
Access to locally produced compost
