Grants

Funding is available through the landfill tax credit scheme for projects that meet the following aim:
To provide and improve community facilities to act as mechanisms for recreation, sporting achievement, lifelong learning and community involvement.

Priorities for funding are:
Projects that innovatively seek to expand the use of existing facilities to address a community need e.g. a drop-in cafe, or a museum education room for use by the community. Projects that improve the quality of, or create parks, play areas, green spaces, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, amenity green space and provision of facilities for teenagers and children in order to improve quality of life. The amenity must be open to the public, not operated with a view to profit and based in Aberdeen City.

How to apply:
You can apply for a grant by following the following steps:
Step 1
Contact Aberdeen Forward to discuss your idea on 01224 560360 or.email us at admin@abzforward.plus.com
Step 2
Submit a formal application including full project costing. An application form can be downloaded here (word document) along with guidelines (PDF FORM).
Step 3
On receipt of application, the board of Aberdeen Forward will consider the application
Step 4
Once a decision has been made notification of approval or rejection will be given
Step 5
If successful, Aberdeen Forward will make a written offer to applicant with terms
Step 6
Finance will be released once all conditions are met
Step 7
All projects will be supported and monitored by Aberdeen Forward
Step 8
Recipient will complete and return a report on completion of project

All applicants will be advised of any additional information or supporting documents that are necessary to process their application. They will also be informed at the outset of the timeframe for a decision being made. Applicants will be expected to include the additional documents listed in the guidelines (guidelines to be provided by AF).  Failure to provide this information at the time of application may delay the the processing of the application.
